Fall Colours

Fall has definitely arrived in these parts.  The nights are no longer chilly, they are downright cold.  However, thank God, we don't have any snow yet.  It is funny to hear me say that because I have always loved the snow.  Now it just makes my old bones hurt. I still love the look of it and I would enjoy getting out and playing in it with the grandkids if they were close enough for me to do it.

Last week we decided to hop the river and take a drive up the northern part of thumb of Michigan. We drove up as far as Port Sanilac and the colours were pretty.  The only problem was that every time we came across what should be a beautiful photo, there were too many wires and poles in the way.  As we were driving along the highway a side road caught my attention so on the way back I was watching for it and made Alan turn around and go back.  It was just a very short road and it was ablaze with colour and NO wires or poles to be seen.  It made my day.

I created this layout for a sketch challenge at Scrap,Paper,Scissors and for the "For the Love of Fall" challenge at the Flying Unicorn.  I used paper from the Recollections "Seasons" paper pad, the leaves are a digi stamp coloured with Gelatos and then fussy cut.  I kinda just threw them on the page and liked the way they fell.

Love me my fall colours...  just don't love what comes after it LOL

I too love Autumn and really must get some photos before all the leaves fall.
