Alpha continues

I am continuing with my alpha journey in my Art Journal. I have to tell you that I am enjoying this process very much and will be at quite a loss when I come the end of the alphabet. The different techniques are so much fun to try that I have been playing with them several times over.
My journal is looking quite a mess though and even though it isn't even quarter done it is getting to the point where I am soon going to have to look for a new one. See how it is looking quite hmmm shall we just say "used" for lack of a better term.

Laughter required we use Ranger's rock candy crackle paint and Mindfulness required we use paint and gesso bleaching so I combined the two for those pages. I used the rock candy crackle on the white areas on the laughter page.. wish I had done the same on the Mindfulness page because I really liked the way it looked.

Nature just required that we use something from nature on our page, well that was quite easy for me to do since I do love nature so much. I went with butterflies. First I placed strips of masking tape nilly willy over my pages and then I sprayed mists all over. When it was dry I pulled of the masking tape and painted circles here and there of different sizes. Then I took a large butterfly mask and used a black Gelato over it. I then outlined it with Tim Holtz white Distress Marker. I used some unknown butterflies and flowers to decorate the rest of the page.

I also did a layout for a challenge at the Flying Unicorn. This is my Lucky lil kitten overseeing me work on my journal. She is quite the nuisance!!!

I have joined a new forum called Down a Dirt Road. It is a Canadian forum with an online store. If you are looking for a place to hang out, please check it out, it really could use a few new members.

Jackie love the journal & pages! I really like the design you did for your LO! Fantastic flowers too.

Oh your stuff is so gorgeous Aunt Jackie! I feel so behind the times in scrapping now. I'm afraid I'll never get with it again. Even my materials are probably outdated.
