Hot Wheels and more

Okay so the challenge was to leave some white space. I haven't been doing much of that lately so it was definitely a challenge. In the meantime I have had this photo of my grandson that I had done a few days ago using the weave tecnique. You print two of the same photos, slice them into strips and weave them together. I just had to try it and liked the way it turned out. While lying in bed unable to sleep this idea came to me to use a track and a hot wheels car on the layout. Daniel loves his hot wheels, he always has one of two of them in his hands and can play with them for hours by himself.
Anyway I found a piece of black fabric and drew what looked like a reasonable facsimile of a track and using a white marker drew the center line. Googling for Hot Wheels images came up with a nice car image that I could print on sticker paper. I cut that out and stuck it to chipboard to give it dimension.

The next challenge was to scrap our goals for 2013. Well my goals are simple, I want to read my Bible more and do more praying. I have become very lax in that department and it isn't good. I need to feed on the word and talk to my Saviour more.

For my last challenge we were required to do a layout using corrugated cardboard somewhere on the layout.

We also were challenged to create an arch, well now that is something I have never done before... I expect I shall use this somewhere down the road on a layout LOL

I am still working on my journal but those pages are too personal to post right now :)

I love them all Jackie! The track is such a cool idea, your "goals" LO is so pretty and that's a great photo of you two on the third LO.
I've never made an arch before..may try that tomorrow.
I'm way behind on this month's challenges!
Hugs xx
