Home made Buttons

Well Ginni gave us quite the challenge for today at Creative Inspiration,  she posted these pieces of wood for our scraplift challenge.

To be sure I have no little pieces of wood sitting around here anywhere so I had to come up with something else. Now sometimes my imagination is totally missing but today it was bursting with ideas. So my first thought was all the sheets of chipboard I have sitting doing nothing.

So I cut some circles from my Chipboard and coated them with Gesso and set them aside to dry.

Next I choose some small stamps that I might like to use.

Once they were dry, I start stamping them.  I choose some Gelato colours that I wanted to use and rubbed the colours on a piece of waxed paper and added some drops of water to mix the Gelatos to make them into a bit of paint to paint my stamped images.

Once I had all my buttons stamped and coloured, I used my Inkssentials, Crackle accents to completely cover the buttons and then set them aside to allow them to dry.

These are my finished buttons. I can now use them on a layout or a card as an embellishment, or I can poke a hole through them to put string through them to  hang them on a tree.

A very easy project with a very pretty outcome.
Thank you for visiting my blog, please leave a comment to let me know you were here.
Thanks
Jackie
